Resizing could never be easier than it is with Digital Image Pro.   Pictures, shapes, canvas sizes – you name it- DIP makes it simple and easy!

To get started I'm going to have you open up your program and get your canvas started.

1.   FILE>NEW>-----   here you will want to select the size of your canvas (Paper) I will use an 8x8 canvas for this first section on resizing.

*TIP make sure your resolution is set to 300ppi

2.   Click on INSERT>SHAPE>and select the square

Your screen should look like this:

To RESIZE items in DIP 7 you simply need to place your mouse over one of the yellow dots and drag it the direction you want it to enlarge or shrink toward.

Try this out with a picture.

INSERT>PICTURE>MY COMPUTER> select your photo from its location on your computer.

Then select one of the 4 corners and click and drag them in and out with your mouse to make the photo larger and smaller.   To maintain proper proportions you will want to only use the 4 corners.   Using the spots in the middle will distort the image.

To resize elements you will want to do the same thing.   Some elements can be elongated or condensed by using the dots in the middle of the corners.   Play around with this.   You will find that some elements can be manipulated easily and others loose their definition if you try to resize them disproportionately.

To resize text you simply need to use your text size selection.   Lets practice this.

TEXT>INSERT TEXT> Use the default text for now (Arial) Your screen should read:

Highlight the text, delete it and type in the word PRACTICE.

Whenever you have the text selected the broken line and the yellow dots appear around it.   At the top of your screen you will see your text selection box.   It looks like this:

By clicking on the arrow next to the word Arial you will find all your text options.   To change the size of the text you simply use the arrow next to the number 36.   You can make your text larger or smaller with this function.   Keep in mind that you cannot use the yellow dots to make your text larger or smaller.

Go ahead and try it out! J Resizing with Digital Image Pro is painless!
