There are several ways of importing files into DIP. Choose whichever works best for you.
Using DIP's File> Open Command
1. Select File> Open from the toolbar menu. This launches a browser window.

2. Use this browser to find the file you require. You can either use the folder Pane at right or double click on the folder icons in the picture window to open that folder. Browse to find your file.
3. Click on the file and select open. The file will open to the Files area in Digital Image Pro. If you can not view the Files area make sure it is selected under View> Files.
4. You can now work with your file. You can then drag the file onto your canvas.

* To select multiple files using File> Open, follow steps 1 and 2 above.
This works only when the multiple files are in the same location/folder.
Select multiple files by holding down CTRL on the keyboard and clicking on the files of choice. The selected files will be highlighted.
Click Open to open the files to the Files area in DIP.

Using Drag and Drop
1. Open Digital Image Pro
2. Open a IE browser window, minimize the window and locate the file of your choice.

3. Click on the file to highlight it and keeping the mouse button depressed, drag the file image to the files stack, release the mouse to drop the file. The image will look faded and the arrow cursor will have a small square with a + sign in it while dragging.
4. The file will open to the workspace. You can then drag the file onto your canvas.
