ADDING A BACKGROUND

By and © Shelleyrae Cusbert

Brand New to DIP 9 or 10? Here is how to add a background to your page.

When you first open Digital Image Pro you need to select a canvas size. By clicking on the paper icon you open a
default page that measures 6” by 4”.

To create your own custom canvas you need to select File>New and either select or type in your size of choice.

The canvas that you open is actually a transparent page that appears white.

To add a solid background go to Insert>Shape> square

Fill the shape with a colour of choice using either the paint can to select a color

or by using  Effects>Fill with color or texture

and if desired remove the outside
line

Now resize the background to fit the entire page by choosing Format> Resize object to to fit canvas > stretch to
fit

You now have a solid background to begin building your page on. You can of course make any changes to color etc as you desire.
