1.  Create a new layout.  File > New > Enter Image Dimensions.  Fill background with color of choice.

2.  Activate your guidelines.  View > Guides.

3.  Set your guidelines by finding the middle of your layout.  For example, if your layout is 500x500 pixels, then both the horizontal and vertical guides should be at 250.  To place a guideline into your layout, move your mouse to the top portion of your layout where the ruler is located.  The cursor should then turn into a crossbar.

4.  Drag your mouse down and place the guideline at 250 (or desired area on your layout.)

5.  Repeat for the vertical guideline, except start at the left side ruler and drag the mouse towards the right and place the guideline at 250 (or desired area on your layout.)

6.  Be sure to activate snap-to-guides.  View > Snap to Guides

7.  This center spot should be where your middle photo goes.  Copy and paste your first photo onto its own layer.  You can use the Raster Deform Tool  to snap the photo into the middle of your layout.  You will know when the Snap to Guide is activated because your photo will “pull” or “gravitate” towards the guidelines, aligning itself by its nodes.

8.  At this point the grid should be activated.  View > Grid

9.  Be sure to activate Snap to Grid.  View > Snap to Grid

10.  Copy and paste your next photo onto its own separate layer.  Adjust the position of the photo until desired.

11.  Repeat for all photos, being sure to place each photo on its own separate layer.  Also be sure to maintain an equal distance between each photo.

12.  Finally, remove the grid.  View > Grid
