Creating a personalized calendar with Digital Image Pro

(suitable for versions 9 and 10 and easily adaptable for v.7)

Choose File >Create a project

Choose Calendars > Year > General

Select the calendar option that is first in the last row

Choose Open

Use the arrows to change the year date to 2005

Click next without making any changes

Click next without making any changes

Click Done.

Scroll down the stack to find Object 26 and delete it. Scroll and delete the purple boxes. This will leave you with the space to add in your own photo.

Select the blue background and choose Format>Resize Object to fit canvas > Resize to fit.

Drag your photograph onto the calendar.

Resize to fit the space and crop if necessary.

You can adjust the font of the month names and the color of the text if you desire.

Insert text and add the Year and your project is finished.

You can also create a calendar using a layout as shown below.

Insert your layout. Resize appropriately and make any changes to text font or color.

Alter the background by either changing TouchUp > Change Hue and Saturation ( DIP9) or Effects> Change Hue (DIP 10) or delete the background entirely and fill with a color to suit your layout.

Tips

* You can select any calendar layout that appeals to you.

* Group the calendar sections and/or titles together and use Effects>Fill with color or texture to change all the text to one color quickly.

* Print the calendar and add magnet strips to the back with glue to hang on the fridge.

* Use the image as desktop wallpaper

* You can create a monthly or even weekly calendar in a similar way using the templates available in the DIP project gallery
