HOW TO: Add a Signature to Forum Posts

This tutorial will show you how create a signature that will be displayed at the bottom of forum post.

  1. From any page in the forums click on the My Settings at the top of the page.
  2. In the Control Panel under Settings and Options, click Edit Signature.
  3. In the text field enter your name, a quote, blinkies or anything else you would like.
    Note: Current the font, color and size settings do NOT work on text.
  4. To create a link in your signature, use the Insert Hyperlink icon or wrap your text with the url tag.
    Example: [url=http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/chat]The Forums[/url]
     
  5. To add an image or blinkie, use the Insert Image or enclose the link to your image with the image tag. Images have to hosted on your own web server or online service like Photobucket.
    Example: [img]http://www.tickercentral.com/view/1jy5/1.png[/img]
     
  6. When you are done modifying your signature, click the Preview Signature button to make sure that your signature appears correctly.
  7. Then click Save Signature and your new signature will appear at the bottom of all your posts in the forums.
