Only Digital Image Pro 2006 Suite, Digital Image Pro 10
and Digital Image Pro 9 accept plug in filters. Eye Candy 4000 is available from
www.alienskin.com
The same idea explored here can be used to create
brad’s, paperclip’s, wire word’s

more.
Simple Eyelet
Open a blank canvas or complete this task on an existing
canvas.
Insert> Shape> Circle – size the circle as desired. An
eyelet would usually be less than a half inch (1.5 cm) in width.
Increase the line size of the circle. Choose the line
symbol button, choose More and then 8pt
Now choose the paint bucket icon and select No Fill.
With the circle selected, choose Effects> Plug-in Filters
and scroll to find Eye Candy 4000’s Chrome filter. Then choose>Launch plug in
filter
The Filter interface will open and will default to the last
options used. Ensure you can see the circle in its entirety by using View> Zoom
in or Zoom Out on the filter interface.
Choose Settings and choose Chrome Border. It initially
creates a blue tube like border.
On the Basics tab find the Bevel Placement and change to
Inside Marquee.
On the Basics tab find Outdoor.tif on the list of available
Reflection Maps and select it.
Your circle will now look something like this.
On the bevel profile tab you can choose between different
profiles. This is dependent on the look of the eyelet you want. I have chosen
Button.
Back to the Basic tab, manipulate the width and height
bevel sliders to change the look of the eyelet. Decreasing the both the width
and height bevel scale will round the top of the eyelet.
When you are happy with the look of the eyelet, choose
Settings> Save and give your settings a name such as eyelet so that next time
you want to create an eyelet you can simply select the preset to apply the
changes. Click Done.
