DOWNLOAD PRINTABLE PDF VERSION HERE. This tutorial will explain how to resize images using Photoshop 7.0.
  1. Open the image in Photoshop. Make sure the image layer is active (highlighted).
  2. Select Image / Image Size .
  3. This is what will be displayed, except with your image details:
NOTE :   By leaving the Resample Image box checked, you can change the pixel dimensions and resolution independently.
  1. Make sure the Constrain Proportions box is checked.
  2. Change the Document Size Width or Height to the image size desired.
  3. Press OK .   At this time, Photoshop will resize the image to what was specified.
Here's another method to resize your image.
  1. Make sure the image's layer is active (highlighted).
  2. Select Edit / Transform / Scale .
  3. After pressing scale , a box around your image will appear.   See example below:
  4. Click on a corner and press the SHIFT key (the SHIFT key will constrain proportions).
  5. Pull the corner to the desired size, still holding down the SHIFT key.
  6. Once you are at the desired size, release the mouse button and Shift key.   Press ENTER .
  7. Using this method, my image went from: To this:
NOTE :   These methods can be used on elements as well! ALSO NOTE : This layout contained the following elements:
