You can fill any shape with a background paper simply and easily in Digital Image Pro/Suite.

Create a new canvas File> New at your desired size.

Choose Insert> Shape and select the heart.

Choose Format> Resize Object to Fit Canvas> Scale To Fit

Remove the line by selecting the line thickness symbol on the pictorial menu bar, selecting More... and then None

Choose Effects> Fill with Texture or Color

Choose Picture

Choose to either select an image you already have open in the files area, or select to browse your hard drive

I chose to Open a picture

Once found, select OK

The heart is filled with your chosen image – in this case a background paper.

You can resize or move the picture to choose what part is seen.

Choose Done when satisfied.

You are not restricted to the shapes in Digital Image Pro’s Shape Gallery. You can fill any cutout image. This yellow butterfly was chosen from the DIP gallery and then filled with a background paper.

Each shape in this image was filled with a different patterned paper and then arranged to create a flower.

Use this method to quickly fill shapes to create photo mats and more.
