Wow- I'm so happy to finally be a Design Team Member for SBB! I have been a member here for exactly two years now- and I have loved every minute of it! I cannot believe how fast this site has grown- it is so exciting to see digital scrapbooking gain so much popularity!
I *attempted* to paper scrap 4 years ago shortly after my son was born. I went to a crop and spent $100 (I know- I got off really cheap- LOL!) I never did finish my first page, but I wanted to start scrapbooking my son's memories so bad! I would oooh and aaah at other peoples' layouts, but I just could never get started. It doesn't help that I am such a perfectionist- so if I couldn't do it right- I didn't even want to start. Later, I again *attempted* to paper scrap by designing my layouts in MS Word first- so that I could get an idea for placement. What's funny is that my husband said to me, “Why don't you just do it all on the computer?” I distinctly remember responding, “No, that would look cheesy!” Well now I'm eating those words- LOL!
I am so glad that I found SBB! I have had so much fun participating in the challenges and crops –they really push me to get layouts done. I just cannot scrap without having SBB open! Playing the word game is another thing I enjoy doing here- even when I don't win- LOL! Also, I recently lost 26 pounds (of my 60 pound goal) thanks to God and to the support and encouragement of the ladies in the weight loss challenge! Everyone is so helpful and thoughtful here! I am so grateful to so many of you who have prayed for my family with our health situations- several times for my husband's heart issues and also last September when Alicia was born 10 weeks early after my appendix ruptured. Oh- and did I mention that I have learned so much at SBB?!!!!! There is not a day that goes by that I don't learn something new here!
Lately, when I'm not digi scrappin'/surfin' SBB, I'm usually playing at a park, swimming at the local indoor pool or Lake Michigan, or jumping on the trampoline with my family. I am a Christian SAHM of a 4 year old son, a 2 ½ year old daughter, and an almost 11 month old daughter. I'm married to my best friend who is thankfully an awesome photographer! He is also my number one fan- who actually “gets” digital scrapbooking! This October we will celebrate our 10th anniversary!
Oh- and I've been working on and off at launching my website since January of this year and I hope to open it really soon! It's scrapbook related, but not designing!
