Hi! I'm Nancy, aka Nancy Fancy Pants, aka NStreicher. I live in Frederick County Maryland, about 25 miles from Washington, DC. Even though I'm near the city, I live in a small town in the country, surrounded by dairy farms. I'm 42, and was recently married in 2003 to my DH, Sam. My daughter Valerie lives with us, along with her daughter Lynnea. We have 2 wonderful dogs and a cat.
I started paper scrapping in 2000 and fell in love right away. I'm not even sure how I discovered digital scrapping, but I know I posted a question on 2Peas, and I think Shelleyrae responded suggesting that I check out SBBytes. That was in July 2003, and I've been here ever since! I still tell myself that I'm going to paper scrap, mainly because I can't part with all my cool supplies, but I've only done 1 paper page in the last year. I started out using DIP 9.0, but when I learned about brushes, I moved up to Photoshop Elements. For Christmas this year I got Photoshop CS, and use that primarily, but I'm definitely still a beginner. I also got a Nikon D70 for Christmas which I LOVE!
By day, I'm the vice president of finance for a small biotech company, but manage to sneak in a day time scrap here and there! Other than scrapbooking, I love to ride horses, hike, bike, camp, fish – anything outdoors, I especially like the water, but the mountains are great too! I also like to cook, garden and read. My husband is the lead singer in a blues band, and we're both big fans of live music, so we spend a lot of time going to shows. And, I love to travel – DH and I are planning a trip to Ireland in early fall and I can't wait!

I'm not sure I have a defined style, but I do like patterned paper, layering, stitching, ribbons and playing around with fonts. I do a lot of art inspiration layouts to force myself to try new things and learn more about my software.
I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this wonderful team of talented people. I LOVE SBBytes!!
